In order to make use of ‘un-integrated’ access control solution, where a stand-alone CCTV system and a stand-alone access control system have simply been ‘wired-in’ to the same control room, security personnel would be required to:
- Monitor the access control interface
- Determine which camera was associated with the active alarm
- Switch the camera footage to the correct station to observe activity
- Log the incident, noting identifiers for camera, doorway, time and date
- Archive relevant footage after the incident
- Use multiple system interfaces to achieve all the above!
