Simultaneous compression algorithms
Sitescape² offers a range of image compression and encoding formats including MPEG4, H264 and MJPEG to suit different applications. While MPEG4 and H264 formats are preferred for transmission across limited bandwidth networks and are implemented as standard, MJPEG algorithm records images using full frame compression where every frame recorded is a totally individual and highly accurate time-stamped picture giving you unquestioned evidential viability.

Sitescape² can record in MJPEG and transmit in MPEG4 or H264 simultaneously, thus enabling totally new and unique levels of performance.

Total integration
Based on a modular design and an open architecture, Sitescape² operates as the heart of your security system enabling communication between a variety of disparate devices from third party suppliers such as access control systems to x-ray baggage systems. A built-in comprehensive camera telemetry protocol library and the ability to manage third party components such as keyboards and switches the system can be easily configured to perform a variety of operations, both automatically and upon trigger by a range of alarm inputs.

Our Advanced CommsHub unit can be used to monitor all camera, recorder and alarm status for the entire site on one screen. IES Research and Development team has a proven track record in integrating Sitescape² with a variety of security devices or external systems such as Access Control, Intruder Detection or Building Management systems. We continuously identify and incorporate new technologies which help deliver unique solutions to modern security issues facing many organisations today

System security & encryption
Unlike most of the recent glut of simple ‘Windows application’ digital CCTV software, Sitescape² operators access the system via a totally unique GUI, which does not permit access to the Windows operating system unless authorised by the system administrator. This prevents unauthorised system access and the loading of software thus reducing both operator distraction and the risk of virus infection.

Each operator uses a secure log-on password stored in an encrypted log file. All system actions are recorded within this log file and can be reproduced by the system administrator. All Sitescape² functions operate under a high level of encryption from multi-level user log-on right through to video storage and output. Even network viewing clients can use high-level encryption (up to 1024 bit) to protect the streamed video from snooping applications.
